Description
We created KFC VS, a 60 minute live show that brought the best in gaming and grime together for a good old fashioned gaming battle. But this wasn’t your usual gaming session with your mates, we raised the stakes by offering the winning team the chance to take home a LIFETIME SUPPLY OF KFC. The action was non stop, frenetic at times and all streamed using the new Facebook Live feature.

The result was an epic evening with the gamers and grime stars bonding and battling on The Colonel’s Couch, all in front of a live audience on Facebook, streamed by KFC and Rinse FM on Facebook. Fans were captivated by the action and commented in the their droves, which only added to the live experience and drama in the final seconds of our final on Pro Evolution Soccer.
The event was a fresh and exciting twist on the Esports genre, making it fun and accessible to a youth audience and something we will 100% be doing again.

Over 11.8 million impressions
KFC’s most viral video to date, with 800,000 viral impressions on the live stream
Highest level of engagement from youth audience (13-24) ever obtained on Facebook for KFC.
Europe's first ever promoted live stream on Facebook
One of the great results is that we have now created an entertainment property (and a sofa) that we can keep using. KFC have decided to keep investing in this idea and we are already working on who else will appear on KFC VS and where The Colonel’s Couch will pop up next.
