Nike set up an interactive installation to demonstrate the explosive speed of the Mercurial Vapor IX. Inspired by Nike 'Vapor Trail', a film that illustrates Cristiano Ronaldo's devastating combination of speed and skill coupled with his Mercurial Vapor IX boots.

‘The Speed Challenge zone’ was where the consumers could actually dribble on the 12m green ground and shoot after avoiding the obstacles. They would compete with each other through speed records which are ranked instantly. Panoramic photos were also taken at the moment. It featured social service connection by sending the pictures from the tablets through SNS, MMS, and E-mail.

Outcome

The total number of participants of the event was 6,995. 8,218 people liked the Facebook page of the event and the number of Facebook fans increased by 3,111(16.4%) after the event.
