Background

The brief was simple: generate the attention and amaze the target group - influencers - to get the best “organic” response and the most ROI.

Influencers are tough people to surprise: they receive an average of 5 parcels a day trying to get their attention and reaction.

Connected Snowglobes managed to cut to the chase, surprise and amaze them as it would have done with anybody else.

Idea

The creative idea is strongly intertwined with the technology. It doesn´t make sense one without the other.

To reduce it at its simplest, the idea was to send a Snowglobe to a person/ influencer that is almost magically connected to the snowglobe of another person. When one person shakes his / her snowglobe, triggering a snow storm, the other globe reacts the same way, even if it is hundreds of miles apart.

Strategy

The strategy was amazingly simple: Send the snowglobes to the selected influencers and watch what happens. It is almost like playing magic tricks to children.

Execution

How to make the snowglobes synchronize, even hundreds or thousands of miles away from each other? When you shaked your snowglobe, it generates a “missed telephone call” to their twin snowglobe. When the “twin” snowglobe receives the call, an inner mechanism triggers the snowstorm. Easy to understand, but the technology behind this is really sophisticated and cutting edge. Believe us.

Outcome

We had all the globes / pairs of globes monitored individually. That´s why we know that ALL the recipients / influencers, without exception, played with their connected snowglobes, some of them dozens of times. And, of course, they were very eager to amplify it through their social networks. How many times do you get an almost magic object?
