Description
The Listening Bench was placed in public spaces so the public could sit down on the bespoke bench and listen to Radio 4 stories in order to experience the view they were seeing directly in front of them, differently.
Radio 4’s campaign wanted to change people’s perceptions and show that We wanted to reach a new audience of listeners, who might have considered Radio 4 as stuffy and irrelevant so we had to interrupt them from their busy modern lives.
We created a bespoke Listening Bench to help listeners experience a new way of looking at things. The four seats were each built at a different height and angle, to let users to literally see the world differently.
The bench toured the UK, housing real and relevant stories and topics that were updated for each location. We selected Radio 4 programmes that really reappraised the surroundings and edited them to easily
