In this spot, we see all the things people do in pursuit of living their "best life". The lengths we as a society have convinced ourselves we need to go to enjoy life. And as we watch these moments reminiscent of a scroll through social media, we hear Alan Watts’ 'Adventure of Dreams' speech, ultimately landing on a group of people sharing a simple meal. Showing the joy that comes around the table, surrounded by the people we love. And showing how nothing brings us together like eating together.

We live in a world obsessed with living its "best life". And right now, living that best life means doing all the ”best” things. Flying across the globe to see the most scenic sights, attending the biggest music festivals, taking in the most epic sunsets, literally jumping out of airplanes. And in this relentless pursuit of incredible moments, we’ve forgotten the best moments in life are actually extremely easy to come by. When we’re eating together with the people we love.

VOALAN WATTS: So then…

We cut to various scenes of nature (ocean waves, sky with balloons, girl in fog)

We cut to various people’s faces and them within these beautiful scapes.

VO: Let’s suppose that you were able, every night, to dream any dream you wanted to dream.

And you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time.

Or any length of time you wanted to have.

We cut to a person in a coffee shop.

We cut to people surfing. Cut to girl in a car in a wedding veil.

Cut to two adventuring friends catching a bus through the mountains.

VO: And you would, naturally, as you began on this adventure of dreams, fulfill all your wishes.

You would have every kind of pleasure.

We cut to a child and her mother at a campfire taking a photo.

We cut to a muscular guy doing poses in the mirror.

We cut to a a mother and daughter taking a selfie in an art gallery.

We cut to two friends taking photos on a rooftop.

We cut to a girl dancing in her room with her cell phone.

VO: And after several nights of seventy five years of total pleasure each you would say,

“Well, that was pretty great! But now let’s have a surprise.”

We cut to a crowd of people at a concert.

VO: “Let’s have a dream which isn’t under control.

Where something is going to happen to me but I don’t know what it’s going to be.”

We cut to forest overhead panning.

We cut to two people riding horseback.

We cut to a person climbing a steep rock face. We see their hand slip and they catch themselves.

VO: And you would dig that, and come out of that and say,

“Wow, that was a close shave, wasn’t it?”

Cut to two friends dancing.

Cut to a mountain biker’s handles as the ride through a trail.

We cut to a person hanging laying on a high rise rooftop balcony.

VO: Then you would get more and more adventurous.

We cut to a person longboarding down an open road.

VO: And you would make further and further gambles as to what you would dream.

VO: And finally, you would dream where you are now.

We cut to a group of friends, some with kids, having an intimate dinner at home together. We see a few of the people at the dinner from our previous scenes – passing food around the table and laughing, smiling and enjoying eachothers company. This meal is the kind you can only have with the people you love and trust more than anyone in the world, and we can see on their faces it brings them more joy than any of their adventures did.
