The searches of the new kinds of pentagons are still in process. This fact formed our idea of the dynamic identity. Its main element is a grid, formed of pentagons. Having only one grid you can create an endless amount of patterns.

The identity can be truly dynamic if scientists discover new kinds of pentagons. So, it can be updated again and again. And we do believe that the 16th type will be discovered by one of the participants of Kyiv Math Olympiad.

To create our dynamic identity we’ve used 15 kinds of pentagons that were founded since 1918. Its main element is a grid, formed of pentagons. Having only one grid you can create an endless amount of patterns which can cover every surface with no gaps.

The identity is relevant to the modern tastes of our target audience and visual culture in general. It attracts attention to the math industry, works as PR for Kyiv Math Olympiad and encourages more participants to take part in it.

Pentagons are still one of the main mysteries of maths. In 2018 we celebrate the 100s anniversary of solving this riddle. Since 1918 were discovered only 15 kinds of pentagons which can cover any surface with no gaps. This makes them valuable in practical usage – from constructing clothes and equipment to finding new solutions in architecture and engineering.
