Why is this work relevant for Direct?

We were able to give more girls a voice and help them discover more relevant role models with a positive and empowering impact on their lives. In this way we build a future image where girls know they can be whatever they want to be.

Background

"Currently in Colombia, there are more women than men at the base of the labor pyramid, but as the hierarchical scale increases, the female presence decreases. A recent study by KPMG confirms that only 7% of women working in the country have a managerial position".

How can PONY MALTA contribute to closing the gender gap at this age?

Describe the creative idea

We collected audios with speeches and interviews from some of the most influential women in history and uploaded them on the @ellashablan profile on TIK TOK, so that girls could dub their words.

We launched the movement on October 11th, International Girls' Day, and that's how the words of well-known women were in the voices of thousands of girls to show them that they can become whatever they want.

Describe the strategy

The brand's main target is children, young people and teenagers, and the brand's purpose is to bring out the best version of them. However, due to the pandemic, the audience increased its time on social networks. TIK TOK monthly consumption per user almost doubled between 2019 and 2020 increased 94.1%); being a space where they follow profiles of women who end up becoming their role models. Women who influence from the way they dress to the way they talk. However, these role models sometimes do not help to release the empowerment that girls need.

This behavior does not discriminate against socioeconomic level or nationality.

Now is an on going platform that continues inspiring girls through the words of great women.
