IDEA: Digital Fashion Bible
Why? Paper Vouge is a fashion bible – magazine that people enjoy, experience and praise. Its target group is both sophisticated and demanding and tech savvy. That is why we created Digital Fashion Bible. We wanted to transfer this complexed and nuanced emotion and approach into digital world with the exact care while maintaining the highest brand relevance. That is why we created smooth Vogue environment with rich and high quality immersive video and photo content.
Execution
We built the whole experience from scratch. We focused on big, well-framed photos and integrated video content. We decided NOT to frame the photos in order to keep their beauty. We employed a two-column layout – just as in a printed magazine. With convenient switching between the articles to make the reading as comfortable for the users as possible. We implemented dedicated CMS solution alongside with the latest SEO guidelines. Display ads are an integral part of the website – they do not interfere with its reception. We decided not to use programmatic – branded presence is sold in direct, tailor-made deals.
Outcome
Vogue site is a great support for paper magazine which helps establish premium perception and position. The website works perfectly in all resolutions and on all types of devices. We have taken special care to create intuitive and fast mobile version. The result is a visually sophisticated and content rich website, using subtle and intuitive animations. Our business strategy was a success – our exclusive brand deals are sold out months in advance. But most importantly, users love our portal– they spend 50% more time on it than on competing sites. They also come back more often: we exceeded our monthly traffic goals in one week.
