The brief was to embody the emotional pull of being at home with loved ones for the holidays, so it needed to evoke feelings of warmth and a sense of belonging. The colour grade needed to enhance these feelings and enrich the quality of the film even further.
We already had a stunning piece of film to work with, so the intention of the grade was to maintain a soft dreamlike contrast with a light warm hue, and keep saturation subdued to project a certain filmic sophistication.
