CampaignDescription
The project was a protest about the erosion of our civil liberties and becoming a database society. We used qr-codes, which are bar codes created to link camera phones to websites. This allowed us to mix the indelible nature of film with the flexible qualities of the web. We used 100+ qr-codes subliminally integrated into the film. These links were either to existing information about civil liberties, or specific content created by activists, where viewers could get involved. We created a low-res version for devices, which we printed, and then shot in relevant locations to create a more cinematic version.
