“Good Night Paola” is a short film about the struggle to reach the dream state. Starring Paola Antonini as herself, the Brazilian starlet relives nightmarish moments of heat on the path towards her dream of becoming a model.

Both set and art direction can't be too realistic. Her journey towards her dream of becoming a model is centered on a stylized fashion runway. Red and blue tones indicate the moments of heat and cool.

The treatment splits the film into the 4 stages of sleep.

1st

- Bed flips to vertical, Paola floats effortlessly (with dolly).

- Runway was designed to reproduce the tension and heat in her career.

- Accident scene: car crashes on runway, changing her life forever.

2nd

Hospital, backstage and Paola’s bedroom merge in one space.

3rd

- Empty backstage with dummy parts scattered around dramatize her struggle.

4th

- When the film reaches its climax, the director surprises the audience with real footage from Paola’s past, linking her dream with reality.

- Paola floats seamlessly back into bed on a sling.
