Times are changing, both at home and on the road. This film for Volvo follows a young girl, Alicia, on a day’s stay with her grandfather (played by iconic Swedish actor Rolf Lassgård). Throughout the film, the older man indulges Alicia’s 21st century expectations of his 20th century house—turning on lights with a switch rather than a clap, playing records rather than voice-activated playlists—gently letting her know that the old-fashioned ways still work, too. Except, that is, in the case of the thrumming noise of a petrol engine.

Our director knew immediately that she wanted to work with the famous Swedish actor Rolf Lassgård, who gives a warm and loving performance. The casting of the child, Chloe, was dictated by the need to find someone who could be both natural and playful, qualities that she provides in spades.
