Overview

Write a short summary of what happens in the film.

In the film, an elderly German woman shares her life experiences with Livio, who studies nursing and takes care of her. In hearing the stories of Rosemarie’s painful childhood experiences of being separated from loved ones during World War II, to the joy of reuniting with them, her life story becomes a source of inspiration for Livio, serving as a reminder that a career in long-term health care is an opportunity to not only help others, but also become part of their history.

Tell the jury anything relevant about the direction. Do not name the director.

The main challenge for this project was condensing Rosemarie’s extremely eventful life into just two minutes. A beautiful montage done artfully. It was important for the audience to see the strong woman she is and emotionally connect with her. To accomplish that, we created powerful picture book frames, and if each image was conveying heaps of story then it would work.

Center frame compositions were employed so there is no effort required to watch the film. You look at the middle of the screen and you’re getting the story perfectly.

The viewer is drawn deeper into the film on a subconscious level due the painstaking detail in ever frame. From the scratches on objects to peeling paint, hair movement and clothing. Every camera move was meticulously planned taking the viewer for a ride, transitioning effortlessly from scene to scene.

The short film was intended for the Swiss public as a call to support the recruitment of young health care professionals to consider long-term care as a career.
