Description

Drawing on your phone or computer can be slow and difficult if you’re not a designer - so we created AutoDraw, a new web-based tool that pairs machine learning with drawing created by talented artists to help you draw. It works on your phone, tablet, or computer and there’s nothing to download and nothing to pay for.

Execution

Upon going to the AutoDraw site the user selects the AutoDraw tool and starts to draw something. As they create strokes or draw on the canvas we’re using detection to look at the strokes and match that up to guess what they’re drawing. So a square with a triangle on top of it might mean the user is trying to draw a house.

This tool is live and implemented on the AutoDraw site but currently only has around 400 trained objects. We’re training and adding more on objects on a monthly basis.

Outcome

We hope to continue training more objects that weren’t in the initial batch of ~400 objects and make the system smarter at recognizing the user’s intent of what they’re trying to draw.
