As an internet based company whose mission is “transparency,” we wanted to take this to heart in our rebranding campaign. The truth is, car buying is not easy. And it probably won’t be for a while. Hello, I’m Chris Adams, lawyer for TrueCar. It’s come to my attention that I should clarify the term “easy as pie,” which initially, I figured would be a pretty simple task, but it turns out pies are quite complex. I found a recipe on the Internet called 'easy pie crust,' and it takes almost two hours to make. And then, if you think about all the things that go into a pie-pumpkin, pecan, cherry, apple, chicken pot - you have to go to the store, get the ingredients, then go home and assemble them in such a way that after cooking it, the end result will be, you know, a pie.

In any case, I’m confident when I say that buying a truck with TrueCar is as easy as making a pie. Certainly, however, it is not as easy as eating a pie, but then again, eating a pie is top five easiest things to do. Top three, probably.
