PepsiCo created a space within Tomorrowland, a futuristic-themed area withing the Shanghai Disney Resort. To create its own interpretation of the future, Pepsi developed a 20-minute, multi-sensory experience that challenges the way we see life, our own creation and the very foundation of existence. This experience begins at the birth of the cosmos, spans through the present Age of Innovation, and into the future where light, energy and human enlightenment become one.

The Pepsi logo - blue and red – represents duality and reinforces the theme that the universe is comprised of many such dualities: light and darkness, day and night, life and death, energy and entropy. The extremes that make up existence and the magic that lies between.

These deconstructed elements of the Pepsi logo tie eight chapters together across a multi-sensory experience:

Volcanoes

Sunset

Bioluminescence

Cosmos

Earth

Spring

Northern lights

Autumn

In Chinese culture, a corporation with a long history represents stability and strength. The Pepsi logo is a manifestation of over 100 years of growth and prosperity. Therefore, at the center of this experience lies the Pepsi logo – a symbol of duality and co-existence. By subverting from the Pepsi logo, these deconstructed elements become a visual thread that takes viewers on a fantastic journey - an abstract voyage that every viewer is left to interpret in their own way as it resonates within their own unique experiences and understanding.
