No matter where you live in the world, the dreams and struggles of building a business are the same. By showing an honest but inspiring picture of what its like to run a business, we can instill trust but also motive people to take their first step realize their dreams.

iZettle - Helping small businesses succeed in a world of giants.

Execution

The idea behind the identity is to represent the vast variety of iZettle users around the globe. We wanted a flexible identity with possibilies adapt to different categories of products and services. The flexibility of the identity has not just enabled iZettle to stay relevant towards existing and future customers, but also create instant recognition and endless expressions in static and moving media.

The dot pattern is inspired by the movement and upward aspiration of business owners, and creates both a graphic pattern that can be used on top of imagery as well as a dynamic and easy-to-use layout system. The tone of voice is friendly and helpful, and we gave the iZettle users a name, Zettlers, to create the feeling of a community. This idea is also the foundation of all communication as well as all physical environments and digital platforms.

Outcome

The more emotional and consistent brand identity has helped iZettle become one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and reach their goal of 70% growth year on year.

Synopsis

iZettle is one of Europes fastest growing companies. A financial technology company on a mission to help small business owners achieve their dreams by simplifying payments. We were asked to create an identity that could represent and inspire the most important part of the brand - the iZettle users. So the big question was, how can we make everyone - no matter who they are, where they live or what they do for a living, feel that they can be a part of the iZettle brand?

The identity was launched globally in all 12 markets simultaneously in 2017, giving iZettle a new look and feel suitable for Europes leading fin-tech company for small businesses owners.
