BriefExplanation
Utilising the unusual combination of single cream and brightly coloured inks we created a series of short films that turned beautiful abstract forms into patient benefit scenes of everyday life. These eye-catching, abstract forms were created in a controlled environment, filmed and transformed into animations. CGI was used to create the final four end-frame visuals (dancing, dog walking, train travel and shopping). These visuals represent the fluidity of movement experienced by advanced PD patients on Duodopa.
BriefWithProjectedOutcomes
Global campaign following Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and US medical/legal guidelines.
ClientBriefOrObjective
Art direction was chosen to reflect the liquid nature and delivery of the drug, and the campaign concept of keeping life flowing. We wanted to create a beautiful expression of flow and liquid so the ink look was chosen. The effect was achieved through a carefully structured shoot followed by highly detailed comps of shots captured on the shoot. These were all brought together to produce the final animations and detailed images.
EntrySummary
Patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) are treated with oral levodopa but in time it loses its effectiveness and their disease becomes advanced. Patients with advanced PD have more time with symptoms (‘off’ time) when they can’t control their body or do even the simple tasks like dress themselves. This has a detrimental emotional effect not just on the patients but also on carers, family members and those close to them.
