Kendrick morphs into O.J. Simpson, Kanye West, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle while rapping to confront subjects of incarceration, gun violence and poverty that others often avoid - the relationship between what it means to be a Black person in America.
Background:
The Heart Part 5, addresses historical hardships faced by the Black community and how the themes of incarceration, gun violence, poverty continue to manifest today.

Using deepfake technology was a challenge as the camera movement, lighting, and movement for Kendrick on set all had to be shot a particular way to accomplish the finished product in post.
