Write a short summary of what happens in the film.
Javier is a famous boxer in his neighborhood, always going side by side with his older brother. His father, a famous ex-boxer, puts his hopes in his son. Javier arrives at a nightclub accompanied by his best friend "Ana" and out of nowhere a guy approaches him. At first Javier rejects him, but finally relents. A fan observes him and while Javier passionately kisses the guy, he takes a picture of him. The photo goes viral, everyone including his dad and brother find out that he is gay. His world falls apart. Everybody rejects him. The day of the fight Javier feels defeated. But his dad and brother, at the last moment, go to support him. Javier wins the fight. The broken screen of his cell phone shows the prism that forms when the glass is broken, revealing the flag of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Background:
According to Amnesty International, Mexico is the second most violent country for the LGBTQIA+ community in Latin America. And Movistar, a Telecom company committed to the LGBTQIA+ community for more than 10 years, has been concerned with generating campaigns that invite reflection and connection between people and rejecting any act of physical or verbal violence against any social group. A topic that is part of its communication key roles as a digital service provider.
Brief:
Launch a online film with a powerful message to fight against homophobia suffered by thousands of people in Mexico, which highlights the problem that exists in social media, through a Hero Online Film that captures the attention of the audience.
Objetive:
Connect with our audience and invite them to reject homophobia and draw the attention of society, as well as sports entities and specialized media (both news and sports) so that the topic is disseminated.

INT. BOXING RING – NIGHT.
We open with a fierce fight between two boxers. Close up of feet moving frantically and some punching.
Cut to:
On a black screen we read the following Muhammad’s Ali quote:
“The fight is won or lost far away from the witnesses”.
It’s late night; Our protagonist JAVIER (26, Aka “The
Dog”) a professional boxer and his brother, they round into
the streets of Mexico City, looking for a bar, to get some fun.
EXT. THE OPERA BAR, AN ICONIC BAR IN MEXICO CITY – NIGHT.
They both go into a bar. People recognize Javier. He is a local celebrity.
His brother loves this moment, posing for the cameras, he is proud
of his younger brother.
Cut to:
INT. PRESS CONFERENCE – DAY.
1.
Our hero (Javier), poses for the cameras in an interview for
his upcoming fight; for the national championship. He is a
tough guy; he fights with his opponent pushing each other.
His brother is there, always supporting him.
Cut to:
EXT. STREET – DAY.
A fan reads a note about Javier's fight on his Smartphone.
Cut to:
INT. JAVIER'S DAD HOUSE – DAY.
Now we see Javier's father, a former boxer, proud of his son,
look back on photos and trophies. It's a mix between his own
trophies and Javier’s. The box is important in the family.
Cut to:
INT. NIGHT CLUB – NIGHT.

We are on a dance floor, Javier is dancing with Monica,
his best friend (a very sexy girl). They're both having fun.
We see a clip of Javier having hard training for the fight.
We interspersed shots from the club with scenes from training.
In the meantime, a guy approaches Javier. At first sight
Javier ignores him; but then, they both go with into the night club’s bathroom.
Cut to:
INT. NIGHT CLUB – BATHROOM – NIGHT.
Javier gets a kiss from the guy, “in a safe place” hidden.
The image transition connects while we watch: Javier making out
with the boy and training in the gym.
Some person recognizes Javier. He is watching both
inside the bathroom and takes a picture of them.
Cut to:
INT. BOXING GYM – DAY.
The next day, Javier arrives at the gym, for training.
His boxing friends make homophobic jokes about him, but Javier
doesn't understand why.
His coach shows to Javier a post with a photo of him kissing
another guy. His world is falling down.

Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME – KITCHEN – DAY.
Javier is eating and watching the news. His brother arrives
very angry and claims him. He shows him the photo that has
been taken and shared on the internet. Javier’s brother just
yells at him:
Javier ́s brother: "Dad did not teach you to be gay!"
Cut to:
EXT. STREET – DAY.
His father gets ready to pick up and make some deliveries.
He looks his smartphone and the photo of his son kissing another
man. Javier receives a call from his father. He is furious.
Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME – LIVINGROOM- NIGHT.
Javier cries and tries to apologize. His father has a broken
soul and shattered pride.

Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME – ROOM – DAY.
Javier is in his room while checking his social media.
There’s some much hateful coming from his fans, so they turn their
backs on Javier. He reads a comment that says:
Comment: “The Dog or the Puppy?”.
Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME -LIVINGROOM- NIGHT.
We see a quick sequence of Javier having a fight
at home with his brother.
The smartphone falls to the floor and breaks. We notice
the broken screen.
Cut to:
EXT. STREET – DAY.
Javier goes for a run to keep his mind clear. In a dramatic
shot, a man inside a car throws a milkshake on Javier’s chest,
while insulting him.

Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME – ROOM – DAY.
We see him alone at home, punching the wall.
Cut to:
EXT. OUT OF A NIGHTCLUB – NIGHT.
In the next scene, Javier is trying to get into a night club,
but this time, he is rejected. He realizes how homophobic
society is.
Cut to:
INT. LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT.
We see Javier in the locker room, he is preparing for the big
fight. Suddenly, Javier receives a text message from his
father:
Text Message: You can do it, son.
Javier smiles relieved; his trainer smiles too.
6.
Cut to:
INT. BOXING ARENA – NIGHT.
Accompanied by his team, Javier enters the ring. Flashing
lights. He is sad, defeated even before going into combat.
Part of the public boos him.
Cut to:
INT. BOXING RING – NIGHT.
The fight begins. Javier fights with rage. Annoyed.
Cut to:
INT. INTO A TRUCK – NIGHT, RAINING.
We're in Javier's father's truck. His father follows the
fight from his smartphone and encourages him.
Cut to:
INT. BOXING RING – NIGHT.
7.
Javier is fighting without desire. He almost wants to lose.
He takes some punches. He’s knocked out. The referee begins to count.
When everything seems to be over, he looks to the right and
his brother is there and all his friends entering the arena.
His brother approaches him and when it seems that he wants to
attack him, he hugs him. He encourages him to get up.
Javier’s brother: "You can do it, champ!".
Javier can't believe what he sees. They are all there. The
family will always be family. He stands up. He trades blows
with his opponent. The fans support him. Javier knocks down
his adversary and, victorious raises his arms. His brother
enters the ring, and they hug. As we watch them, we read the
following sentence:
Everything can be broken, except your pride.
Cut to:
INT. JAVIER’S HOME – LIVING ROOM- NIGHT.
We see Javier's broken smartphone on the floor. The LGBTQIA+
flag is formed by broken glass and the prism effect.
The Movistar Telecommunications logo appears in its LGBTQIA+ version.
