BriefExplanation
This documentary short tells of a real-life Reindeer Princess. We learn how, against the odds, Anne became the world #1 Reindeer Racer and gained acceptance from the remote traditional community she grew up in. This true story demonstrates the essential role a remote petrol station can play in peoples’ lives.
EntrySummary
The Reindeer Princess is a compelling and human story that shows the difference an Esso station can make to a remote community. The festive period is not just an important time for the business, with people visiting friends and family, but it also felt like the perfect time of year to bring the story of the Reindeer Princess to an audience already filled with the spirit of the season. By placing the film in peoples’ Facebook feeds we were able to reach our audience in an environment they are happy spending time in, and where they are actively seeking content to enjoy and share.
Implementation
We found Anne's true story from the remotest located Esso garage. Her story shows amid a vast herd of reindeer, her affinity with the animals immediately apparent. Against the odds, she has become the world’s number-one reindeer racer, gaining acceptance of her career, wife and family in the remote traditional community where she lives.
