CampaignDescription

Since the final call belongs to "the family". The creative idea, therefore, is targeted to the dead’s family. We believe that the best persuasion is to have the donor speak to their families personally and directly through recording. For this we give the donor a chance to speak up with www.organwill.com which allows everyone to record their wish to be played to the family on the day of his or her passing.

Execution

This narrates the moment when a Red-cross officer is doing her best in trying to ask for the permission from the family to allow the patient's organ donation to go through. However, the officer is rejected even though it's actually the patients will for his organs to be donated. In the end the officer had to let the patient convince his relatives himself by showing his last will VDO recording on the Red-cross website.

It was released in April, 2016 onward to reach nationwide.

Outcome

In 2016, a number of donors hit the highest record ever – 220 cases that help save 512 patients in organ transplant. Organ donation has risen up to 17,000 cases also they participated in VDO recording at organwill.com. In the wake of organ donation, this campaign has brought, people understand that the essential part of donating the organ is to get the family to acknowledge their consent before the final day.

Relevancy

This is creative idea aimed to communicate directly to the family in particular moment. This is to convince them to allow the organ donation process.

Strategy

From the constraints that have arisen from unacknowledged, the donation is solely subjected to family's decision. Therefore, we aimed to directly communicate with family who is a key decision maker. This campaign is expected to inform all Thai families all over Thailand. Consequently, Thais have new perception towards organ donation from both sides - donors and family of the donor.

Synopsis

In Thailand, organ donation is rarely delivered. Though there are up to 851,691 organ donors stating their purpose, only 2,081 cases achieved the delivering stage. According to Thai law, despite the signed donation consent but the family denies the grant, the donation is impossible.

How can we not make their will wasteful?
