EntrySummary
32% of women in Peru have been victims of physical or verbal violence.
None of them found justice. Meanwhile the press is busy discussing less relevant matters. Much of the press is accused of being superficial and sensationalist, touching themes of frivolity where women are often taken as a cover story but in a sexist way.At this juncture it was decided that a medium of communication as important as Peru21 in Peru took action beyond only delivering information.
Peru 21 gave a voice and would be a tool for many women.
We surfed on the social networks looking for sentences left by women victims of violence and we take them literally to our cover page.
For a day, the most important news would be the voice of these women and our cover page would become a symbol of protest.
