Write a short summary of what happens in the film

This film is about a woman's struggle to protect art and free expression from society's conformity, repression and persecution. The project's purpose was to make the public aware of the coming exibition in striking way but one that also conveyed the message behind the exibition's purpose: the art made by women all over Latin America in the context of the 1960's civil rights movement (a lot of them not only deal with the struggle of women, but also class and race issues in the context of feminism and women's rights), and how those issues are still relevant today and also in what capacity do those works reflect current social issues. The film’s biggest challenge was in how we would tell a story about persecution and bigotry while also promoting the museum’s exhibition. The story that we conceived tied all these knots and aspects and the film’s own aesthetic and language.

Cultural/Context information for the jury

The film's about an art exhibition showing the work of several Latin American artists. These artists are (and were) made up of women and all of them made their works of art in the context of the 1960's civil rights movement. A lot of them not only deal with the struggle of women, but also class and race issues in the context of feminism and women's rights.

Tell the jury anything relevant about the cinematography.

Our challenge was in creating a story that dealt with these themes and context but in a way that was more akin to a thriller than your typical art gallery/museum film. The atmosphere of fear and opression culminates with society chasing after the woman.
