CampaignDescription

Wi-Fi is a high frequency wave that travels through the environment and through walls. When movement occurs, the frequency’s pattern changes. So, every router can be turned into a motion sensor. And detect intruders. The wifialarm continuously exchanges data packages with the router to create a line of sight, detecting any movement between the two points. Signal repeaters can also be added to the system, increasing the protected area and defining the perimeter with total precision. To operate, simply synchronize the Wi-Fi network to the wifialarm using a smartphone. Every time a suspicious movement is detected, a push notification is sent along with a preset emergency speed dial number. The wifialarm is calibrated to ignore small interferences, avoiding false alarms. And speakers can also be connected, driving away possible threats.

MediaStrategy

Thanks to the constant exchange of data between the wifialarm and the router, it is very effective and detects movement in a much less expensive way than conventional security systems. Add to this the fact that 66% of homes and small business have Wi-Fi signals, and the wifialarm has enormous potential.

Outcome

Thanks to the constant exchange of data between the wifialarm and the router, it is very effective and detects movement in a much less expensive way than conventional security systems. Add to this the fact that 66% of homes and small business have Wi-Fi signals, and the wifialarm has enormous potential.

Relevancy

Security is a concern for everyone. But security systems are so expensive that less than 5% of homes and small business have them. However, there is something else that most people do have: a Wi-Fi signal. With this in mind, we used the data sent from routers to create a more democratic and efficient security system.

Strategy

When the user turns on the wifialarm, it begins to exchange data with the router to create a line of vision between the two points. When a change in the wave pattern – an alteration in the way data arrives to the wifialarm – is significant, representing a real danger, a message is immediately sent to the user’s mobile phone.

Synopsis

Security is a concern for everyone. But security systems are so expensive that less than 5% of homes and small businesses have them. However, there is something that most people do have: a Wi-Fi connection. These two facts had never been combined before. That is, until the wifialarm was launched. An innovation that gives people something that they need through something that they already have.
