OVERVIEW

BriefExplanation

“Barely Legal Pawn” is a comedic, branded online video featuring TV stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul (formerly of the hit TV show “Breaking Bad”) as seedy pawn shop owners Buzz Jackson and Randy Jackson. The story features TV star Julia Louis-Dreyfus who, playing herself, drives to the pawn shop to sell her “Seinfeld” Emmy to help her pay for an island she mistakenly purchased after a night of too much rosé.

EntrySummary

In 2013, fans around the world were devastated when the popular TV show "Breaking Bad" went off the air. Screenings of the final episode made national headlines. "Barely Legal Pawn" reunited Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, a dynamic duo fans have longed to see since the conclusion of their popular TV show. The video also featured Julia Louis-Dreyfus, an unexpected third character whose current hit TV show “Veep” also had a loyal following. Additionally, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and actor Cranston once worked together on the legacy TV show "Seinfeld."

In addition to having millions of fans and, all three actors were nominated for 2014 Emmy Awards. Through humor and dialogue written specifically to engage and excite loyal fans, and with hidden references designed to evoke nostalgia for the beloved shows, "Barley Legal Pawn" allowed viewers to instantly connect emotionally with the content. For fans, the video was one giant inside joke that they couldn't help but watch and share. The video subtly integrates the 2015 Audi S3 Sedan as Louis-Dreyfus’ car of choice.
