BriefExplanation

A little boy's greatest hobby is trains. Too bad he never really gets to ride on one. Until he plays a little trick on his mother.

EntrySummary

Nederlandse Spoorwegen is the semi-public Dutch organization for train travels. This film is the fourth film in a campaign that expresses the symbolic benefits of traveling by train. For instance, this film highlights the familiarness and coziness of traveling with the train with your children.

Solution

This story is all about the boy. So the director of this film was inspired by the early 80s vibe of Spielberg's films, such as Close Encounters and ET. The larger than live feeling this film brings was a direct reference to not only the childhood of the director, but in a way to everyone's childhood. That's the strength of the film: through its direction we can all relate with the boy, because we once were that boy.
