We see a duel between two top athletes on and in their own vehicle. It's a 50 yards sprint. Eddy Merckx, on his bike, gets a flying start. Jacky Ickx, in his car, starts from a stationary position. Normally Eddy wouldn't stand a chance against a modern day sports car, but against a sports car from '68 ( the year Jacky won his first Grand Prix) it's a different story if Eddy can take a flying start about at 50km/h. The result at the finish line is not what you'd expect.

Back in the days Eddy Merckx and Jacky Ickx were two iconic top athletes, excelling internationally in their disciplines, respectively, cycling and racing. They are still highly regarded in Belgium and abroad. In 2015 they both celebrate their 70th birthday and a duo exhibition MERCKX-ICKX is organised. To promote this exhibition the two longtime friends finally compete against each other, something they have never done during their active sporting career. They challenge each other in The Race of The Century. The outcome is rather unexpected though.
