BriefExplanation
What initially appears to be the latest episode of the well known Japanese cooking show “Three Minute Cooking”, is actually the newest episode from Japan’s largest wireless carrier, NTT to introduce their high speed network LTE. “3-Second Cooking” features a crazy but clever contraption that can cook crispy fried shrimp from start to finish in just 3 seconds. The “Shrimp Frying Cannon”.
EntrySummary
“3 Second Cooking" mimics the format of the typical Japanese cooking show called “3 Minute Cooking”.
One of the end captions says “SakuSaku” which in Japanese means both crunchy texture and super high-speed, implying to “feel the sense of “SakuSaku” with the expanded LTE network and the super fast fried shrimp.
Execution
To visualize the meaning of using a high-speed LTE network, Japan’s largest wireless carrier, We developed the world’s fastest cooking device, the “Shrimp Frying Cannon”. The film was shot entirely in-camera with no CGI being used. The device was controlled by a computer programmed carefully to shoot shrimps using compressed-air to fly through a cloud of flour and bread batter ejected from a pneumatic cylinder. Egg yolks were then ejected into the air by an electric cylinder.
