The film opens on an image reminiscent of the picture Tom Brady tweeted: his silhouette, in black and white, walking onto a football field. A somber and reflective piano piece sets the mood. Brady’s voiceover states, “They say all good things come to an end.” As his words continue building toward a huge announcement, we see evocative shots of the stadium, and Brady taking it all in. Finally, as everything crescendos, Brady says the following to camera: “You deserve to hear this from me...Hulu doesn’t just have live sports.”

From there, Brady cracks a smile and the tone completely shifts. A bombastic beat drops and Brady goes into Hulu Sellout mode. After his hard sell of Hulu’s features, Brady tells everyone what they’ve been dying to know: “But me? I’m not going anywhere.”

Every year, there is massive speculation around superstar quarterback Tom Brady’s football future. Will he retire? Will he change teams? After a surprise playoff loss for his team, the conversation this year was particularly heated. Our Sellouts campaign has always taken advantage of what each athlete is known for and used that to have them sell out for Hulu. The speculation around Tom was our chance to do this on a larger scale than ever before.
