For the past 30 years Egypt has been losing its position as the leading Arab nation to the new emerging economic powers like the UAE. First Abu Dhabi Bank were very cautious not to push a narrative of "GULF MONEY" coming to benefit from Egyptians.

Egypt still retains the soft powers of arts, film, music, and culture in the Arab world.

For the launch of FAB in Egypt, we paid tribute to Egypt's undisputed role in creating the cinema and music industries that have brought the Arab world together over the past decades.

The design process for this film involved separating each poster into multiple layers, some 2D, some 3D, some with relief texture and some without. To add drama, we wanted to incorporate practical lighting effects where we could, so we utilised the lamp-posts, the soldiers’ torches and the sun. Where painted backgrounds were cropped in the final composition, we needed to extend the image so that it looked natural in the moments before the camera finds the frame and the picture is complete. The real-world sizes of all the scenery was carefully determined by looking at digital models with a virtual camera. Once all the pieces were built and in the studio we went through a process of placing them carefully to favour a very specific camera position for each poster. It was then up to the steadicam operator to find each of these perfect positions in one fluid take!
