CampaignDescription

We engaged famous futurists, researchers, artists and scientists to predict what they think the future will look like to create Earth 2050. Earth 2050 is an interactive platform that provides a glimpse of the future based on these predictions, a collection of 360-degree views of cities across the globe showing concepts dreamt up by professional futurologists and designers.

Execution

The interactive multimedia platform, Earth 2050, highlights predictions for cities around the globe and different artefacts people could encounter in the not-so-distant future.

Divided into hexagons, the planet contains forecasts about the future of almost all aspects of our life. Robotics, ecology, lifestyle, medicine, education – famous futurists, brands and organisations share their research and forecasts about changes our planet will undergo in 2030, 2040 and 2050. Using these briefs, artists, illustrators and designers create futuristic locations. Thus, it is possible to learn quickly and easily about practically all aspects of the future, as well as express your opinion and share the most vivid predictions and locations on social networks.

Anyone can take part in the project along with well-known designers, futurists and writers. Our next step is to connect to the organisations and offer them an opportunity to remind people of about ecological, climate, space and other problems.

Outcome

• More than 200 predictions for 80 cities and territories;

• Estimated coverage views – 4 000 000+;

• Coverage in 85 publications from around the world with nearly 4 million impressions;

• 122,000 social shares.

Strategy

Objective: To encourage users to take a more thorough look at the security of future technologies.

There are 4 different target audiences that we defined for the project:

1)Futurologists and scientists that try to predict our future based on history and trends. They can share their point of view in short and simple briefs.

2)Designers, illustrators and anyone who wants to share their view of the future in images. Anyone can create an image of the future using the briefs as references.

3)Brands and organizations that care about future. We offer them an opportunity to create branded predictions and locations dedicated to their aspects of life. For example, Samsung wrote a brief about Smart Lenses as a replacement for gadgets we use now.

4)Anyone who wants to know more about the future of our planet. Anyone can access the site to see the illustrations and read the predictions from famous
