Allow Converse fans to unleash their creativity and build their customised chucks via interactive and engaging workshops taking place at an open space: the Google+ Converse Garage.
Implementation
To bridge the gap between the physical Garage space and the Converse Google+ community, there were Hack-a-long sessions broadcasted via a Google+ Hangout on Air. There were also open viewing periods for the public to see the action in real time, as well as a gallery featuring the most creative Chuck Hacks to date. The project ran in the Hoxton Gallery & Over 6 days we transformed an empty space into a fully operating workshop. Over 600 attendees participated in hack sessions resulting in 100s of new ‘Chuck Hack’ creations for the world to see both offline and online. Resulting in 1 million G+ followers.
Outcome
100s of Hacked Chucks
1 million new followers on the Google+ Converse page
Relevancy
The space was designed for makers and could be transformed in minutes to accommodate hack sessions and music events. A real world content generator which created 1,000’s of pieces of content for the million+ community online by making G+ technologies physical, tangible and playful.
