Write a short summary of what happens in the film

In the music video, three emerging recording artists, Jamie N Commons, Skylar Grey, and Gallant, perform a newly imagined version of Soul Asylum’s hit single from 25 years ago, “Runaway Train.”

Imagery includes the destitute situations missing children find themselves in… being trafficked at cars and cheap hotels, at bus-stops and make-shift urban camps.

We then see cutaways to actual missing children. The children that the viewer sees are ones missing from the area where the film is being viewed, as they are dynamically inserted into the hyper-localized version.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

The original “Runaway Train” song by Soul Asylum was a massive hit that is a part of any Americans psyche. The original video, directed by Tony Kaye 25 years ago, was played endlessly on MTV. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is the organization that created the famous “Have you seen me” milk carton campaign.
