BriefExplanation

The New Zealand Fire Service initial ad in the series depicted the pain a father felt for having allowed his young daughter to be burnt in a house fire because he hadn't installed smoke alarms. In this follow up commercial, which is part of the series, "Taking Mila To School" depicts the ongoing trauma experienced by both father and daughter as they try to get back to a normal existence.

'Taking Mila To School' shows the father helping her get ready for school following the house fire in which she suffered horrendous burns to her face and body. He assures her that everything will be alright knowing that he is lying to her and their lives will never be normal again.
