BriefExplanation
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. But 8 in 8 men don’t like the idea of getting a prostate exam from a doctor, even though it can save their lives. It’s too uncomfortable. So this radio spot gives men detailed instructions for the alternative to a doctor: getting a friend to do it.

DOCTOR:
As a doctor, I know getting your prostate checked can help with early detection of prostate cancer … but a lot of men don’t like the idea of a stranger putting a finger in their rectum.
So here’s an alternative:
Get a friend to do it.
Preferably a friend who can handle a question like:
“Do you mind giving me a digital rectal examination?”
Once you’ve compiled a short list of the friends who are still your friends ...
You’ll want to weed out any big, and or, dirty finger types … former rugby players, pig farmers, tuna fishermen, oil riggers, hot tar roofers, salt miners, fish squeezers.
And I would also dismiss any of your long finger-nailed acoustic guitarist friends from the list as well.
Hopefully, the one friend who remains on the list is a professional puppeteer with a medical degree.
But that’s unlikely, so go see your doctor. It may save your life.
