BriefExplanation
We see a young woman dealing with her new life as a grown-up. We make use of the giant girl metaphor to explain this very real feeling that we all go through at some point in our lives. She struggles in the bus, elevator, at work, night club and even in the train going back home. The chocolate has this very power to stop the world and bring us back to our true self, and she is back to the real size when she sees her mom. "Alice in Wonderland" references are clear -- except it's set in a modern-day context. We also added its own "Easter egg"-if you look closely enough, there's a rabbit hidden in every scene.
ClientBriefOrObjective
From the moment our protagonist wakes up to the moment she arrives at her parents house, the art direction was created to convey something both real and magical, clearly inspired by Alice in Wonderland. The challenge was to find the right balance between post- production the making of reduced size film sets.
For each scene of the film there were also small handmade objects for our main character like cellphone, purse, book, and cup of coffee. The art direction built with the red Nestle palette brought the necessary emotion to the final scenes, where the giant girl comes back to her original essence and the arms of her mother.
EntrySummary
This is a film specifically made to sell Easter eggs. In Brazil, we traditionally give chocolate eggs filled with candies to children, friends, and family. Every Easter break is a three-day weekend bank holiday and people face the question of whether they should stay alone in the city, or travel to visit family who usually live further from the city centers.
