BriefExplanation
The film starts with the view of a mysterious person typing on the phone at an over the top living room in Los Angeles. It cuts to this person's hand deleting a travel destination in the app of bank next, as we hear he saying "next". We see his hand typing a new destination, Sao Paulo, and hitting the OK button while he says "Guess who is going to Brazil?". Cuts to the actor Ken Ken Jeong looking straight at the camera and saying "Me!". We realise the mysterious person was him all the time. He then says "Fire" and his fireplace suddenly lits. After that, he sits at the piano and starts playing the music How does that grab you Darlin, from Nancy Sinatra while he jokes with the camera at the same time. We see a lettering saying Soon, and the another one saying Seryously, soon.
EntrySummary
Ken Jeong was chosen for this campaign for his irreverence and adherence to millennials. Research has shown that he is one of the most memorable actors for this audience--among other characteristics, his nonsense humor. Choosing a Hollywood celebrity is also a strategy of ‘next’ to launch and position its brand in a big and bold approach: the campaign gained a big status for its dimension, and bold for being something completely new in the finance industry.
