Now You Know is an epic film that brings to life the confusion, frustration, and disappointment people with Type 2 diabetes feel in trying to manage the mystery of this disease on their own. At every twist and turn in the film, a humorous, stream-of-conscience voiceover is quick to shut down any form of enjoyment our characters seek in life - with one word: NO.
Eventually it all leads to a climactic finale, when just as this kettle of madness is close to boiling over, the viewer is presented with a solution: Life doesn’t need to be all “no”, when you ‘know’ with FreeStyle Libre systems.
Tell the jury about the production design / art direction.
Simply put: a lot of production design went into this film. From the use of motion control cameras to an entire set being Gimble-rig to flip talent from one room to the another to a massive amount of special effects. But all that said, the true sign of great production design: While it can help the story, it isn’t the only story. And while we wanted to create hyperbolic metaphor that brought this world of “no” to life, everyone involved also worked even harder to ensure that production design helped the idea but did not just become the idea. Up to jury to decide if we were successful. We think so.
