BriefExplanation

We were only able to work with archive images from Lucas Films, this proved to be a challenge as we had to make something really new from some artwork that is really old and known quite well. It had to be a fashionable vision for Star Wars.

ClientBriefOrObjective

Star Wars RJPQ is a new traveling exhibit for the Smithsonian Institution that will feature the fashion and costumes from all of the Star Wars episodes. It is an exhibit to showcase the transformation of the characters through fashion - meaning the costumes make the characters, not the other way around. Additionally, to purchase the exhibit it is $400,000USD so we had to clearly illustrate the Return Of Investment of the Star Wars brand.

Implementation

What better way to market the RJPQ Star Wars exhibit than by creating our own fashion magazine. The content covers all aspects of the new exhibit, but in a very editorial manner (written by droids) and complete with advertisements, travel tips, and fashion faux pas. The insertion contains all the requirements for the exhibit (including the cost of $400,000) to be purchased, and an annoying response card was also included.

Outcome

The product was sent out in limited edition, we do not yet have any response data back at this time.
