The film "Ski the world" follows free ride ski legend Candide Thovex on his journey across

30 locations in 10 countries. He rides down sand dunes, grass hills, through the jungle,

across water and even the Chinese Wall. All on skis and without any snow. All we hear is the sound of his surroundings and his skis carving on the ground. What we see is simply spectacular.

Audi's aim was to stage their quattro technology in a completely new and fascinating way.

And live up to the global claim "All conditions are perfect conditions". With legendary films

and pieces of communication, the bar was set high. So they collaborated with freestyle ski

legend Candide Thovex. Developed skis that work on every surface. And went around the

world: 14 months, 30 locations, 10 countries. All this was put into a film and spread on social media.

Skis scratching on red rock, the rumbling of a volcano. The wind breezing past in the desert, skis rattling down the Chinese Wall. An African tribe singing in contrast to the thick sound of the jungle. The splashing sound of skis carving on water – the film "Ski the world" uses the sounds of nature and the sounds created by freestyle ski legend Candide Thovex while riding the world on skis. It was filmed over 14 months in 30 locations and 10 countries – the goal of the sound design was to bring the viewer in these locations and put the focus on the skills of Candide. No background music was used and instead the sound design is derived from and fitting to every scene and location of the film.
