Desperados scored a viral hit with an interactive experience on YouTube. One reason the YouTube takeover rose to fame was its smart incorporation of the player’s functionalities & controls. The volume slider, video scrubber and expand button play a major part in the storyline where the user enters an online party. Another feature that proved to be very popular was the option to personalize the video with Facebook connect. With moving and skewing photos, including corresponding shadows and realistic reflections, the integration of profile pictures was taken to levels not before seen. With a personalized tattoo as the ultimate memento.
