A story that shows the day-long adventure of a teddy bear. He is seen delivering “Cheese Stick”, a cheese-cake flavored ice cream to it’s busy owner’s workplace in order to present her with a bit of much needed break, and a touch of warmth to her heart. The teddy bear’s big adventure is expressed through the teddy bear’s expression and cute body actions. It is not only a story of the teddy bear’s love for its owner, but a story that shows that a simple thing as a cold ice cream, can warm a person’s heart.
Execution
In order to bring the teddy bear to life, we thought of the best way to execute this. The film was shot all in live action, and no CGI or green screen was used. The teddy bear’s height is 90 cm. For a normal adult, it is hard to fit into a teddy bear costume, and having a child go through the grueling filming process was not an option. The secret is in the back pack that the bear is wearing. We had a grown women of 150 cm place her body inside the back pack and leave her hands and feet to act as the teddy bears. In doing so, we were able to achieve the wide range of body expression that only a human can do. Even though the budget was limited, we were able to film very real expressions and movements of a teddy bear.
