Based on ancient Buddhist practice of sand mandalas, the symmetrically designed posters delicately illustrate healthy representations of the human brain, breasts and lungs. The circular nature and repeated patterns create a meditative effect similar to the ancient Buddhist sand mandalas they are based on.

The mandalas’ intricate black and white linework allows for cancer patients to interact with it by adding colour and energy into the very parts of their bodies they need to heal.

The colouring process done by each patient means that every poster takes on a life of its own and becomes a one of a kind artwork.
