This film tells an uplifting story backed by the original song “The Hiring Chain”, performed by Sting. The joyful lyrics come to life on screen and bear witness to the virtuous chain of inclusion in the workplace. In the first scene, a young woman with Down syndrome is at work at a bakery; showing customers her skills. She impresses one of the customers, a lawyer, who in turn hires a young man with the same condition. From there, an inspiring chain reaction of hiring ensues. The film ends with a call to action directed to the employers: “Start the Hiring Chain.”
