So we wanted to make sure that Spanish speakers living abroad they got their Ñ no matter where they live and we created an easy and direct way to make that happen.

We produced and distributed a USB device with the unmistakable shape and design of a Scrabble tile that lets people add the letter Ñ to any computer keyboard easily.

The economic crisis has forced hundreds of thousands of Spaniards to leave their home country. When you're away from home, communicating with your loved ones is very important because it’s when you show your love and share your experiences abroad with them.

This is where all of us who speak Spanish have a problem: most keyboards in the world are missing one of our language’s crucial letters: the Ñ.

Outcome

The initial response was overwhelming with ectastic comments and high volume sharing in the first few days of the launch. Spontaneous Interaction on social media with people openly expressing their love for the Ñ. The app rose to the top 10 position in its category, and so many Spanish speakers felt closer home.

Relevancy

The creative execution is relevant to the product because it builds on the emotional connection people have with the game as a family game, the use of important letters that remind them of home and the ability to easily have that letter with them, no matter where they are and proudly display it.

We got the word out using Spanish influencers (bloggers y youtubers) who live abroad who then shared it with their followers and drove them to the site where they could order it for free. There are already more than 500 million Spanish speakers worldwide, so we created the Ñ app for use with a simple WiFi connection on every computer.
