The Sound Of Glory is an identical reproduction of the Mustang´s accelerator pedal, but with a technology that allows you to attach the pedal to his car and synchronize the pedal via FM dial with any car audio system.

It works with an antenna and a sensor pressure, so every time you step on it, the pedal sends the information to your car’s audio system that automatically reproduces the iconic sound of the new Mustang through your speakers. It´s loud.

Intended to reach an exclusive target, this simple mail delivered the adrenaline of accelerating an amazing car like the New Ford Mustang. An idea made especially for those used to driving a Mini Van.

On the brochure, the target would also find a QR code that would lead them directly to a web where they could schedule a full Mustang experience at their closest dealership.

Execution

Delivered in a very sophisticated black box with the silver horse on the cover, the Sound of glory was a pack composed by the pedal and a little brochure.

The Pedal was an identical reproduction of the Mustang pedal, but composed by an Arduino, a radio antena and a pressure sensor.

1 - Turn on the Pedal.

2 - It will give you a specific radio dial.

3 - Synchronize the pedal via FM Dial with your car’s audio system.

4 - And attach the Mustang pedal to your car’s accelerator pedal.

5 - The pedal works with a pressure sensor, so every time you step on it...

6 - The speakers of your car will reproduce the sound of a true Ford Mustang.

7 - Hear the Sound of Glory

Outcome

The campaign not only brought awareness on RRSS, but strengthened customer loyalty to Ford dealers. The brand’s image was clearly communicated to the exclusive Ford Mustang target group and more than 75% of the possible buyers that received The Sound of Glory scheduled a test drive.

Relevancy

With a limited budget, the Sound of Glory was the best way to reach such an specific target without using a massive advertising campaign on premium magazines. In fact, this was much more effective, because we not only communicated the product, we actually made consumer experience the most iconic benefit of the Mustang: the sound.

The experience was so intense that we've made consumer schedule a product trial right after.

Also on RRSS we generate lots of conversations and requests on the Sound of Glory, bringing hundreds of people to the Ford dealerships.

Strategy

Using Ford database we identify hundreds of possible buyers and delivered the Sound of Glory to them. This simple mail carried the adrenaline of accelerating an amazing car like the New Ford Mustang.

On the brochure, the target would also find a QR code that would lead them directly to a web where they could schedule a full Mustang experience at their closest dealership.

The video with the launch of the product/mail was also available on RRSS activations, generating conversation, but most of all, product trials.

Synopsis

The Ford Mustang target group is very exclusive and hard to reach. The objective was to catch their attention for the launch of the new Ford Mustang in Spain and to generate product trials. In order to do so, we created The Sound of Glory: an innovative mailing and RRSS activation that uses a simple technology to make everyone feel what it’s like to drive a car like The New Mustang.
