We meet Louisa. She tells us she first laid eyes on the love of her life aged 12, thanks to the poster of a boy band lead singer she had on her wall. She tells us the incredible story of moving to LA years later and getting to know a guy from the apartment opposite her. He tells her he was in a band and she works out it’s the guy from the poster. They start dating and fall in love. The film moves to the present day and we get to know them. Louisa secretly reveals she’s going to ask Rob to marry her and we see her preparing. Rob walks in to find Louisa waiting. She delivers her proposal, and they break down in tears as he says yes. We end with the line: “Sometimes the moments that make us sweat are the most amazing moments of all.”

In the US, Dove’s market share of clinical-strength antiperspirants is in decline. We needed to prove to current consumers that Dove Clinical Protection is as effective as its competitors. So while other clinical antiperspirants tend to focus on negative sweat moments to demonstrate their efficacy, we wanted to show that the moments that make us sweat aren't always negative. In fact, sometimes these moments are the most amazing moments of all. To prove product effectiveness, and continue Dove’s legacy as a brand that empowers women, we shared Louisa and Rob's incredible love story.

This was no ordinary film due to the complexity of creating a true on camera marriage proposal (from a woman to man). Casting took months as the team was looking for a genuinely in love couple with a compelling back story.

Once the team found Louisa and Rob, the challenge of creating a heartfelt story- and all the while keeping Rob (the boyfriend) out of the loop to where the film was really headed began. Day 1 was capturing present day footage of the two. Day 2 the team spent interviewing Louisa while Rob was at work. Getting Rob home in time at just the right light and rigging sound on him before he entered was a feat in itself.

We’re happy to say that 6 months later they married!
