Creating a prosthetic eye is a long and complex process. To give users a sense of what Dwayne Collins had to go through as he taught himself how to make his daughter a prosthetic eye from watching YouTube videos, we created a web experience to demystify the process. The site includes a 3D rendering of a prosthetic eye shell that users can spin around to understand the shape and attention to detail. We feature macro photography of the unique tools used in the process and culminate in an opportunity for people to scroll through a dozen of the eyes Dwayne has made for his daughter, Liberty, over the years.
