BriefExplanation
The film opens on a child staring away. The child is positioned on a corner of the set and looks expressionless.
Once the camera starts to track in, we hear the thoughts of the same child but now with an adult voice. The voice tells us about a tragic experience until we realize it’s talking about the day where the father or the mother of the child committed suicide.
On the climax of the narration, the camera tracks in closer and closer to the girl's arm we slowly see a knife slash appear on her wrist. A drop of blood trickles out of the wound.
The film concludes with the message – Suicide scars your children for life.
EntrySummary
The highest suicide rate in the UK is men in their 40’s.
We were briefed to help this demographic re-consider putting an end to their lives.
Our insight was based on that most of these men are fathers and suicide leaves lifelong traumas on their children.
Our solution was series of harrowing testimonials showcasing children carrying the scars of their parent’s suicide for life.

EMMA ‘KNIFE’ SCRIPT
Open on a young girl sitting motionless with her head in her hand, she sits against a grey background as the camera slowly tracks into her emotionless face.
We hear the girls adult voice as she remembers back:
I was so excited, desperate to find out what was underneath the tree.
I went into your room to find you, but you weren’t there.
So, I rushed downstairs ready to rip open my presents.
I shouted, Mum! Mum!
and I found you…. in the bathroom.
And now, that’s all I’ll ever remember about Christmas.
As the camera tracks in closer and closer to the girls face we slowly see a knife slash appear on her wrist. A drop of blood trickles out of the wound.
